Buckwheat Pancakes

Ingredients

  • Ingredients For the pancakes: 1 cup of buckwheat flour 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk 1/3 cup of mashed banana 1 tsp of cinnamon 1 tsp of vanilla extract For the chocolate sauce: 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk handful pitted dates 1 tbsp raw cocoa 1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)

Preparation

  • Preparation *Makes around 6 pancakes Method Mix all the pancake ingredients together well. Take approx. 1/4 cup of the mixture to make 1 pancake and fry gently until you see small bubbles forming on the pancake then turn around. To make the chocolate sauce: Blend milk and dates in blender, then transfer to a pot and simmer for 5 minutes. Add cocoa, let bubble for another 2 mins and your chocolate sauce is ready. Serve the pancakes piled high with fruits and your favourite toppings. Pour over the chocolate sauce. Â
