Chocolate Almond Butter Smoothie Bowl

2 large frozen bananas (pref. overripe)
1/4 cup almond butter (or your favorite nut butter)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
3 – 4 ice cubes
Optional toppings
sliced bananas
granola
cocoa nibs
chopped almonds
Preparation

Place bananas, almond butter, cocoa powder, optional vanilla, milk and ice cubes into blender, blend until smooth.
Serve in small to medium-sized bowls with optional toppings of choice. For a more traditional smoothie, serve in a glass with a few of the optional toppings. Use a wide straw or spoon.
